Job Title: Pega System Architect
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is an independent regulator of Australian Government aged care services. We aim to safeguard and protect older Australians receiving aged care services.
The Business Systems team enables, enhances, and supports all Commission functions with the delivery of best practice services. Our Vision is to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and transform the user experience.
This role assists with building and maintaining Pega applications, including level 3 troubleshooting of applications, focusing on technical implementation and ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
1. Assist with the building and maintaining of Pega applications according to specifications
2. Level 3 technical support of Pega built applications and implement fixes
3. Modify workflows, data models, and user interfaces
4. Design and execute test cases to validate functionality
5. Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
6. Document technical designs and implementation approaches
7. Work closely with Business Architects to understand requirements
8. Work closely with key stakeholders to address technical issues
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Agile environments
* Knowledge of case management and decision management
* Problem-solving and analytical thinking
* The ability to translate requirements into technical solutions
* Testing and debugging skills
* Demonstrated ability to communicate openly and effectively and to build strong professional relationships with staff, stakeholders, and clients at all levels and across boundaries together with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Clear written and oral communication skills. The ability to influence effectively and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds.
* Current, or eligibility for, Baseline Security Clearance through AGSVA – Must be an Australian Citizen
* Bachelor's degree in Programming, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Background in software development or technical implementation
* Experience with multiple Pega projects or implementations
* Understanding of software development lifecycle
* Experience working in the government/public sector.
* Understanding of the Commission's role as an end-to-end regulator.
