13-Month FTC | Hybrid Working
Danone is seeking a commercially astute Tenders & Contracts Manager ANZ to join our Healthcare Nutrition division. This is a critical, high-impact 13-month Fixed term contract role responsible for managing the end-to-end tender and contract lifecycle across hospital, homecare, aged care, and community channels.
Reporting to the Head of Channel & Key Customers-Healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in securing, managing, and protecting complex agreements that drive sustainable, profitable growth across the ANZ business.
You will lead tender strategy, pricing governance, and contract execution, ensuring all agreements are commercially robust, compliant, and operationally executable. This role also acts as a center of excellence for tendering and contracting, influencing strategic decisions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Strategy & Execution
- Lead end-to-end management of ANZ tenders, including submissions, renewals, extensions, and variations
- Define win strategies, pricing approaches, and risk management plans
- Analyse tender outcomes and translate insights into future strategy
Commercial & Contract Governance
- Lead pricing governance, ensuring margin protection and commercial sustainability
- Oversee contract compliance, documentation, and audit readiness
- Manage complex agreements, including distributor and multi-entity contracts
Stakeholder & Negotiation Leadership
- Lead negotiations with procurement, legal, and senior customer stakeholders
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor on bid/no-bid decisions and risk appetite
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Medical, and Strategy teams
Post-Award & Performance Management
- Oversee contract implementation and ongoing governance
- Ensure delivery against contractual obligations and KPIs
- Manage contract risks, extensions, and variations throughout the lifecycle
Pipeline & Continuous Improvement
- Own the ANZ tender pipeline, providing visibility on risks and opportunities
- Translate market trends, competitor insights, and procurement behaviour into strategic recommendations
- Drive best practices and continuous improvement in tendering and contracting
About You
You are a commercially strong and strategic professional with the ability to navigate complex, regulated environments. You bring strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and the ability to balance risk with opportunity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex tenders and contracts in healthcare, medical nutrition, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices
- Strong understanding of ANZ procurement processes (public and private)
- Demonstrated experience in pricing, financial management, and margin protection
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at a senior level
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration in preparing tender submissions
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality tender submissions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional inputs under tight deadlines
