Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality legal advice on complex matters.
* Draft documents, including advice, submissions, and correspondence.
* Represent the IPC in courts and tribunals.
* Identify and report on emerging legal issues that impact the IPC.
* Develop and provide guidance or training material to educate stakeholders.
* Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW.
* A current practicing certificate or eligibility to hold one.
* An interest in privacy and/or access to government information issues.
* Well-developed research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated experience providing high-quality legal advice.
* The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
* A willingness to develop or acquire advocacy skills.
* The ability to collaborate with a team of professionals.
* A commitment to acting with integrity and professional conduct.
