Job Title: Aeromedical Operations Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Aeromedical Operations Specialist to join our team in Tasmania. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our aeromedical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Aircrew Officer: Assist pilots in carrying out aeromedical, search and rescue, emergency, and counter disaster operations.
* Safety and Serviceability: Ensure the Captain is promptly advised on all matters affecting aircraft safety, serviceability, or effectiveness.
* Training and Checking: Conduct training and checking duties for flight and medical crews.
* Crew Management: Ensure crew currency and recency requirements are maintained and documented.
* Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the serviceability and compliance of operational role equipment.
* Logistics and Planning: Arrange and oversee the logistics and planning of sortie profiles for annual training sorties.
Requirements:
* Mandatory Requirements:
o Minimum 1000 hours as a Helicopter Aircrew Officer.
o Certificate IV Aviation – Aircrew Officer.
o Winch Endorsement.
o Demonstrated Training and Checking experience within the EMS industry.
o NVIS experience, including night winching.
o Front Left Hand Seat Operations (IFR).
o CASA Class 2 Medical.
o Current Senior First Aid / CPR.
o Crew Resource Management.
o HUET / EBS Qualified.
o Dangerous Goods Awareness.
o Ability to pass the StarFlight Functionality Assessment (ACO).
* Highly Desirable:
o Certificate IV Training and Assessment - TAE40110 or above.
o FLIR Operations.
o AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate).
o SAR / EMS experience on B412 or EC/H145.
