Hobart Based Role
We are a well-established family law practice seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a Hobart-based practitioner, while also providing remote support to a Melbourne based practitioner. This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

About the role
This position is Hobart-based, with approximately 2 days in office and up to 3 days working from home. Applicants must live within a reasonable travel distance to Hobart for in-office days.
We're looking for someone with
* Experience as a Legal Assistant (preferably family law)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Experience with LEAP or similar practice management software
* A proactive, client-focused approach

The role involves a broad range of administrative and legal support duties, including
* Dictation typing
* Diary and email management
* Scheduling appointments
* Drafting, typing and amending correspondence and court documents
* Electronic court filing
* File management and document preparation
* Collating, indexing and updating briefs
* Preparing costs disclosure documents and updated cost notifications
* Liaising with clients, including following up cost agreements and payment of accounts
* General client liaison and handling enquiries
* Assisting with the day-to-day management of the office, including answering phones and administrative support and hand deliveries
* Making travel arrangements
