This role provides an opportunity for healing, support, counselling, and a therapeutic response; working holistically with all those around the child or young person.
About the Role
The Specialist Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) Program assists children and young people and adults to recover from the harmful impacts of trauma and assists families and communities to support children and young people in the healing process.
The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for supervision of the Counsellor and Aboriginal Outreach Support Worker position for the Specialist HSB Program.
This is a full-time fixed-term opportunity based in Port Hedland, WA within our Specialist Harmful Sexual Behaviour Program.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
* Knowledge of, and experience in, working with children and young people who have been impacted by trauma, and those who display harmful sexual behaviours.
* A Master's level qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Aboriginal Studies or a related field with clinical experience is preferred.
* Demonstrated capacity in working collaboratively within a team, and with internal and external stakeholders, to foster strong working relationships.
