The Opportunity - Creating lush, welcoming gardens that feel like home
Join the Stockland Halcyon team as our Facilities Caretaker at Stockland Halcyon Greens community, located in Pimpama. This is an opportunity to be part of an established community-focused environment where your work truly makes a difference.
We're Looking For....
A hands-on individual to lead the care and upkeep of this large, vibrant lifestyle and community. A permanent full-time role, Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm, no weekends!
What You'll Do
Take ownership of the gardens, grounds and recreational facilities, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard.
* Maintain and enhance large-scale gardens, grounds and amenities
* Supervise contractors and team members reporting directly to you
* Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across the site
* Ensure safety compliance and uphold high operational standards
* Build strong, respectful relationships with homeowners
* Manage community security and operational budgets
* Participate in regular Caretaker meetings and complete required reporting
About You
Proactive and personable, you take pride in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment and you'll bring.
Experience & Skills That Count
* Proven experience in managing large, scaled gardens and grounds as well as experience in general maintenance and amenity cleaning
* Background in caretaking or maintenance within lifestyle communities, retirement living, schools, or hotels/resorts
* Experience in team supervision and contractor coordination
* Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in engaging with people
* Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
* ACDC licence for weed spraying (or willingness to obtain)
* Basic computer proficiency and current First Aid certificate (refresher available)
* Full driver's licence and own transport to/from work (work ute provided during work hours)
