About the role
We are seeking two motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Trainee Alcohol & Other Drugs Clinicians at our Warrnambool, Victoria location. This full-time position will provide you with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by alcohol and other drug issues.
What you’ll be doing
* Provide high-quality counselling and support services to clients, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing case management
* Develop and facilitate group programs and workshops focused on addiction recovery and relapse prevention
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community organisations, and referral agencies to ensure holistic care for clients
* Maintain detailed client records and contribute to the organisation’s data collection and reporting requirements
* Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the alcohol and other drugs field
What we’re looking for
* A genuine passion for supporting individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug issues
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to navigate complex client situations
* A commitment to working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other professionals
* Willingness to undertake further education and training to develop your skills as an Alcohol & Other Drugs Clinician
