About This Role
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures. You will form part of a multidisciplinary team working towards the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports their health and wellbeing pre- and post-deployments.
2. You will provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager, and Commanders of units.
3. You will work collaboratively with a Team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
4. You may be required to provide services in either an outpatient setting or inpatient care setting within a ward.

About Our Location
Laverton Clinic is located on RAAF Base Williams in the suburb of Laverton. The clinic offers primary medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, and dental services.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
* Minimum of 2 years full-time postgraduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
