We have an exciting chance for a Technical Writer to work with a State Government Department - 12 Months contract
The purpose of the Technical Writer role is to:
SOPs: Design and develop
QRGs: Design and develop QRGs to supplement the detailed
Key Accountabilities
Core accountabilities
Work with Change Analysts to identify content to be developed into
Work with Business Analysts to validate Courts' business-as-usual processes, and that technical content is as
Work with the vendor to verify technical
Develop content using approved templates and the Project SOP Development
Where possible, modularise content to reduce the amount of duplication and
Store all content, reviews and signoff records according to the PMO
Ensure all deliverables are reviewed and signed off according to the OCR Review and Approval
Work to deadlines but raise issues in a timely
Apart from core deliverables, develop other project documents as
SOP development
Develop SOPs using content sourced from:
Detailed Change Impact Assessments (DCIAs) developed by the Change Analysts
the vendor's original content:
system information and court processes supplied by the Business Analysts (including that provided in the relevant JIRA tickets)
your review and testing of the system
Quick Reference Guides
Develop QRGs using SOPs and other relevant sources including:
system information and court processes supplied by the Business Analysts (including that provided in the relevant JIRA tickets)
your review and testing of the system
OCS Team support
Support the OCR Training team as required.
Specialist/Technical Expertise -
Must have:
Demonstrated experience in developing SOPs (MS Word) leveraging an agreed
Experience using project support tools such as the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio).
Experience working in systems development environment where the system requires complex processes to be transacted (e.g. ERP, SAP).
JIRA/Confluence
Nice to have:
Experience working in system test, UAT or training
Familiarity with government projects including
Experience in Information
Experience in document authoring tools e.g., Madcap Flare
