About The Role
We are seeking a
Senior Agribusiness Analyst
to join our leadership-facing commercial team at our Bunbury lamb and beef processing facility.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this influential role partners closely with executive leadership and operations to deliver high-quality commercial insight across the entire red meat value chain.
This is a senior, hands-on role that blends strategic analysis, financial modelling, and operational insight to support profitability, growth, and risk management across livestock procurement, processing, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial, operational, and market analysis across livestock procurement, processing efficiency, yields, and product margins
* Develop and maintain advanced financial models covering pricing, throughput, cost structures, and capital investment scenarios
* Analyse lamb and beef market trends, seasonal supply dynamics, and pricing volatility
* Partner with operations to identify productivity improvements, yield optimisation, and cost-reduction opportunities
* Provide commercial input into budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning
* Support commercial negotiations with producers, agents, and customers through robust data-driven insights
* Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and the board
* Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of analytical capability, systems, and tools
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
* 7–10+ years' experience in agribusiness, food processing, commodities, or a similar commercial environment
* Strong understanding of the red meat supply chain (lamb and beef highly desirable)
* Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis capability
* High proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with ERP, BI tools, or SQL highly regarded
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including at executive level
