Royal Hobart Hospital invites suitable applicants to apply for training within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Duties: The Registrar is responsible for day‐to‐day management of inpatients and outpatients and provides after‐hours emergency cover on a rostered on‐call basis. Rehabilitation Medicine is a recognised physician speciality with a dedicated 4‐year training program overseen by the RACP.
The Royal Hobart Hospital is an accredited training site with 4 accredited training positions. Rehabilitation inpatient wards are located at:

Registrars can anticipate rotating through these clinical sites during their period of employment.
$134,930 – $189,005 per annum
* Medical Practitioner Level 5‐11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar)
* Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022
* Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service)
Award Period of Employment
Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight, plus 10 hours protected training time pro rata, starting 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028.
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
