Who are we looking for?
Principal, Commercial Services – to join Campus Services, Administrative Division.
Responsibilities
* Lead operational and commercial leadership across the University's commercial services portfolio within Campus Services to optimise revenue generation, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
* Manage third‑party partners delivering a diverse range of services on behalf of the University.
* Implement commercial strategies, enhance customer experience, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support profitable business opportunities that align with strategic objectives.
* Serve as a senior member of the Commercial Services team providing guidance and support across the broader team.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to sharpen external partnerships through a commercial lens.
Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent, with extensive recent experience delivering measurable commercial outcomes in fast‑paced, high‑pressure, margin‑driven environments.
* Proven success in leading and managing commercial projects, initiatives or contracts to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
* Highly developed organisational and analytical skills, including prioritisation, planning, and managing multiple competing priorities.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to produce clear business cases and reports.
* Financial and commercial acumen, with budget management and cost control experience.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering a team culture of accountability, continuous improvement, high performance, and shared success.
* Record of success in building relationships with diverse stakeholders to deliver superior outcomes.
