About the Company
PJL Group is a specialised Underground Hard Rock Turnkey Maintenance and Asset Supply Company that is seeking to fill multiple positions to support its operations on the underground Mining Project in King Island, Tasmania.
About the Project
PJL Group is seeking suitably qualified and experienced fitters to support upcoming underground mining operations at the Dolphin Tungsten Mine, located near Grassy on the southeast coast of King Island. The mine is being sustainably redeveloped, and PJL will be responsible for the supply and 24/7 maintenance of the underground mining fleet from dedicated workshop facilities onsite. The fleet will primarily be a combination of Sandvik, Caterpillar and Volvo underground equipment.
Job Requirements
* Trade qualification (Mechanical Trade)
* Mine site experience
* Experience in carrying out routine inspections of underground equipment to identify potential breakdowns or malfunctions
* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
* Experience in carrying out complex repairs and maintenance tasks
* Ability to contribute to a high‐performing team, ensuring efficient workflow and minimising downtime
* Strong focus on safety and quality
* Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision
* Must pass pre‐employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and a Police clearance within 6 months
