Description of the Job Role
The SAP Delivery Lead oversees a key functional workstream within our SAP S/4HANA implementation program. This role requires a combination of SAP functional expertise, project management skills, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of workstream while ensuring alignment with the overall program strategy, scope, and schedule.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the assigned SAP functional workstream, consisting of functional consultants, Solution Lead business analysts, and key stakeholders.
* Ensure end-to-end delivery of the assigned functional workstream (e.g., SAP EAM, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, etc.).
* Maintain alignment between workstream objectives and overall program goals, business processes, and SAP best practices.
* Develop and maintain a detailed workstream project plan, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
* Track progress against the program schedule and provide status updates to Program Leadership.
* Collaborate with the Program Manager, PMO, and other workstream leads to align on project scope, timeline, and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of SAP project experience, including at least 2 full lifecycle implementations as delivery lead or project manager, managing SAP workstreams within large-scale implementations, preferably gained with a System Integrator.
* Good exposure to one or more SAP modules like – EAM, PS, MM, SD, FI/CO, WM with a deep understanding of business processes and best practices.
* Ability to guide, mentor, and drive performance across diverse teams.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
* PMP, PRINCE2, or SAP certifications.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based solutions.
* Knowledge of integration points between SAP modules.
* Good understanding of tools like Jira, HPQC, MPP, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
* Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate in oral and written format with clients.
* Ability to build relationships, effectively articulating ideas to various audiences, creating and delivering presentations, facilitating focus groups and workshops.
* Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, with the ability to implement resolutions.
* Ability to think in abstracts and logically, diligently asking probing questions and recommending solutions.
* Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
