Jetty and Marine Constructions is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality pontoon fabrication and marine construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects in a collaborative and safety‐focused environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering marine and pontoon fabrication projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and delivery of pontoon fabrication projects
* Prepare and manage project documentation including methodologies, ITPs, SWMS and construction programs
* Coordinate procurement of materials, plant and marine‐specific equipment
* Monitor project costs, labour, plant and materials against budgets and forecasts
* Provide engineering support to site teams, supervisors and subcontractors
* Coordinate temporary works design and lifting plans
* Manage RFIs, NCRs and design coordination processes
* Ensure compliance with WHSE requirements, including risk assessments and investigations
* Maintain accurate project records including site diaries, QA documentation and as‐built records
* Oversee quality assurance processes including inspections, testing and close‐out documentation
* Assist with project reporting, including progress, financial tracking and risk identification
* Update and review construction programs and timelines
* Attend and contribute to site meetings and stakeholder coordination
* Assist with subcontractor management, tender reviews and scope compliance
* Identify and mitigate risks, delays and cost impacts
* Support tendering and estimating activities, including take‐offs and methodology input
About You
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
* 3 years' experience in a similar Project Engineer role or an experienced Site Engineer looking to step up into a Project Engineer role
* Essential engineering background with proven project engineering experience
* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Solid understanding of construction and fabrication methodologies
* Demonstrated cost control and project coordination experience
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Sound knowledge of WHSE practices
* Intermediate to high Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
