What we are looking for:
Support the safe, secure and efficient operation of Council's airports by assisting the Airport Manager and Senior Airport Operations Officer with day‐to‐day airside and landside activities. This role contributes directly to aeronautical safety, regulatory compliance, customer service and the smooth delivery of airport operations.
What your day will look like:
* Assisting with the coordination of safe and compliant airside and landside operations in line with aviation, security and legislative requirements.
* Supporting the implementation and monitoring of airport safety, security and operational policies, procedures and manuals.
* Contributing to emergency preparedness and response, including first response and aerodrome works safety duties.
* Assisting with inspections, maintenance activities and contractor works across airport facilities, assets and grounds.
* Monitoring, recording and reporting safety, security, environmental and operational incidents.
* Providing high‐quality customer service to airport users, tenants and stakeholders.

What you'll need for success:
* Demonstrated ability to support airport operations while applying work health and safety, risk management and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in customer service, parking control and inspections as per MOS 139.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, to maintain operating procedures, undertake incident reporting and operational administration.
* Competence in safely operating vehicles, plant and equipment relevant to airport operations.
* Effective communication and customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders.
What's nice to have:
* Certificate III (AQF 3) in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations).
* Experience working in a local government or airport environment.
* Accreditation or experience in grounds maintenance or herbicide application.
