We utilize a strong Therapeutic Framework and the CREATE Model of Care, focusing on establishing holistic safety for children in OOHC.
The role involves supporting children's healing journeys by managing residential OOHC programs in the Sunshine Coast and Central Queensland, specifically in Gympie.
The workplace is primarily a home office, with regular attendance required at program sites.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of therapeutic residential OOHC programs, including safety planning, crisis response, and person-centred strategies.Embed a therapeutic framework by overseeing best practice implementation and fostering outcomes-focused teams through the CREATE Model of Care.Engage professionally with stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person meetings.Develop and manage program rosters.Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to care teams of Therapeutic Care Workers.Ensure compliance with OOHC reporting requirements and maintain appropriate documentation.Handle administration, finance, and program planning responsibilities.Occasional after-hours and on-call duties.Qualifications and ExperienceDegree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related fields preferred; minimum Cert IV in Youth Work, Social Work, Social Science, or Counselling is essential.Relevant managerial experience in residential OOHC, with knowledge of practice, legislative standards, and staff support.Experience in developing case, safety, and behaviour support plans, as well as report writing.Experience working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities.Current HLTAID003 First Aid Certificate or equivalent.Valid unrestricted Australian driver's license.Valid Blue and Yellow Cards (or willingness to obtain).Experience working with young people with complex trauma.BenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary, Strive offers comprehensive induction training, monthly supervision, staff well-being support, and ongoing professional development.
