YMCA Victoria Point is seeking an enthusiastic Pool Lifeguard on a Casual Basis to join our team located in Victoria Point
About the role
As a Pool Lifeguard, you will supervise all users of the YMCA aquatics area and facilities. Pool Lifeguards will ensure a safe aquatic area by professionally supervising the pool, identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks, being positive role models, lifesaving and administering first aid as required, and, providing excellent customer service
What will my time look like?
* Enforce all aquatic facility rules and guidelines to ensure patrons are not put at risk unnecessarily and are protected from unruly behaviour and dangerous actions
* Administer First Aid/CPR to patrons, if required.
* Report and document any incidents or risks that occur you have witnessed across the facility
* Completion of all associated administration tasks, reporting and follow-up
* Answer patrons' general enquiries and support them to feel safe and welcome.
* Conduct rostered pool tests and pool maintenance activities to ensure full compliance with legislative requirements and Health Department Regulations

* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
* Positive Notice Blue Card: or willingness to obtain
* First Aid & CPR; or willingness to obtain
