The Role
As a Fleet Technical Officer you will be required to undertake bus inspections and investigations including safety, cleanliness and roadworthiness to ensure compliance with service contracts and field audits on behalf of the Contract Administrators. In addition, you will plan, coordinate and provide reporting of compliance audits.
There is one permanent, full-time vacancy available for filling.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. Knowledge of and experience with Australian Standards relevant to the bus industry and the Australian Design Rules.
2. A Trade Certificate in a related discipline and a thorough knowledge of related automotive trades.
3. Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
5. Ability to analyse and solve technical problems in transport environment.
6. Demonstrated capacity to work unsupervised, plan and prioritise work and meet targets.
7. Demonstrated ability in the use of a personal computer and in particular word processing and spreadsheet applications.
