Flinders University is seeking an experienced and innovative facilitator to join our team in the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in overseeing and supervising student placements across the mental health sector.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work and significant teaching and learning experience at a tertiary level. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify, develop and enact placement relationships with external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who can contribute to the planning, evaluation and student placement assessment of topics related to mental health education. As Topic Coordinator, you will be responsible for undertaking this role as required.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have a PhD or equivalent professional experience in an area relevant to social work. You will also need to hold, or be eligible for, membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, with a minimum of five years (FTE) of post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to secure placement opportunities for students
* Contribute to the development of curriculum and course materials for social work students
* Evaluate and assess student performance in placement settings
