You'll be working in our busy fast-service kitchens, preparing quality meals for guests and staff. With roles available in both guest-facing outlets and behind-the-scenes, you can contribute to the heartbeat of Hamilton Island hospitality.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals in fast-paced venues (fish & chips, burgers, sushi, sandwiches, bistro meals, staff cafeteria)
* Support food service during high-volume meal periods
* Maintain hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
* Follow safe work practices and food handling procedures
* Engage in morning prep, mise en place, and stock rotation
* Participate in special event prep when required
* Work collaboratively with chefs and fellow cooks to meet demand
About You
We're looking for energetic, flexible, and team players with a passion for food and hospitality. You should work well in high-pressure environments, adapt quickly to change, and understand how critical your role is to the overall guest experience.
Your Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen (Essential)
* Experience in cafés, bistros, takeaway shops, or food prep (Highly regarded)
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
* Physically fit and comfortable working in an active environment
* Driver's license (Preferred)
