Job Title: Principal Practitioner
This is a challenging, full-time opportunity to work as a senior professional at Ararat VIC. The role is part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in case management, especially with complex and high-risk individuals. They will also have expert understanding of best practice initiatives for risk management and therapeutic work with high-risk individuals.
The role requires the ability to provide direct line management, professional development, leadership, and supervision of a team of specialist case managers. This includes monitoring the shifting nature of violent and sexual offender management and providing authoritative advice to case managers.
Some key responsibilities include:
* Providing direct line management, professional development, leadership, and supervision of a team of Specialist Case Managers who are responsible for case managing residents within the identified offender group.
* Progressing and monitoring the shifting nature of violent and sexual offender management to align with best practice literature and research of offender rehabilitation in the management of violent and sexual offenders, and in accordance with the CV's Offender Management Framework.
* Providing practice-based leadership, making authoritative decisions based on sound practice expertise, and providing authoritative advice to case managers, with particular focus on identified risk and incident management.
