Boilermaker Training and Development Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to take on the role of an Apprentice Boilermaker. As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will work hands-on with industry-leading underground mining equipment, training alongside highly skilled tradespeople while completing your nationally recognised Certificate III.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
* Assist in fabricating conveyor frames, chutes, and structural components under supervision.
* Develop the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to understand project requirements.
* Support qualified boilermakers in welding (MIG, TIG, and stick) and metal preparation tasks.
* Operate basic workshop tools and machinery such as grinders, drills, and cutting equipment after receiving appropriate training.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
* Adhere to all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment at all times.
* Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting with assembly, fitting, and installation of conveyor components.
* Attend and complete TAFE training as part of the apprenticeship requirements.
* Seek guidance from experienced tradespeople to develop skills and knowledge.
