Our client is a well established and growing Australian manufacturing business, servicing the agricultural and rural industries across regional and national markets. Based in Wagga Wagga, the company designs and manufactures heavy duty, purpose built equipment and is known for its quality workmanship, strong safety culture, and long term workforce retention.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced Metal Fabricators to join their workshop team.
The Role
This is a hands on, workshop based role working as part of a skilled fabrication team. You will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of steel components and finished products, working from drawings and specifications to deliver high quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Fabrication of steel components using MIG welding techniques
* Reading and interpreting workshop drawings and plans
* Cutting, welding, grinding, and assembling metal components
* Operating workshop tools and equipment safely
* Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members
About You
You are a reliable and skilled fabricator who takes pride in your workmanship. You are comfortable working in a production based environment and understand the importance of quality, safety, and teamwork.
You will bring:
* Trade qualification in Engineering - Fabrication or equivalent experience
* Strong MIG welding and general fabrication skills
* Ability to read and work from drawings
* Commitment to WHS and safe work practices
* Good work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Experience in manufacturing equipment for agricultural or heavy industry applications will be highly regarded.
