We're looking for a compassionate, capable
Community Mental Health Nurse Lead
to guide our
MH Connext team
and provide leadership and support to
Tenacious House
, a service that walks alongside men recovering from addiction and mental distress.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a frontline service that ensures people get the
right support, at the right time
, and feel seen, heard, and supported from the very beginning of their journey.
What you'll do
Lead the day-to-day operations of MH Connext
, ensuring services are timely, recovery-oriented, and person-centred
Support and supervise the Tenacious House team member
, ensuring they're well-connected to our broader clinical and community supports
Provide regular supervision, coaching, and mentoring
to build a confident and compassionate team
Monitor waitlists, allocate referrals, and oversee clinical risk
in partnership with the Senior Manager, Outreach and Specialised Services
Liaise with internal services, hospitals, GPs, and community organisations
to maintain strong referral pathways and partnerships
Follow up on incidents, manage reporting, and contribute to service improvement
through data, audits, and reflective practice
Champion a safe, supportive and inclusive team culture
, where people feel valued, supported and able to grow
What you'll bring
AHPRA-registered Mental Health Nurse
Experience supervising or leading a small team in a mental health or community setting
Strong understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care
Confidence working with complexity, risk, and referral pathways
Excellent relationship-building skills with consumers, teams, and stakeholders
Commitment to cultural safety, inclusion, and continuous learning
