A leading private healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team within the Cardiac Unit. About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive nursing care in accordance with clinical standards and individual patient needs. This role also involves mentoring and supporting Graduate Nurses and Nursing Students, ensuring a collaborative and nurturing team environment.
You will work alongside doctors and specialists on a range of adult and paediatric cardiac cases, contributing to the effective treatment and recovery of patients in a busy acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care aligned with the individual's clinical condition and treatment plan
- Plan and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Monitor and interpret diagnostic results and respond accordingly
- Assist in managing complex clinical presentations, offering guidance to junior staff
- Facilitate patient discharges with well-documented care plans
- Foster teamwork and strong communication across departments
- Promote and contribute to patient education and mental health awareness
- Support and supervise students and new staff, including orientation and preceptorship
- Actively participate in achieving operational and clinical service objectives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 1 year of post-graduate nursing experience, preferably in an acute setting
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, infection control principles, and nursing best practice
- Excellent communication, clinical documentation, and teamwork skills
- A strong commitment to patient-centred care and professional development
