About the opportunity
Working within the Transactional Client Services Team, you will be responsible for providing expertise and resolving complex queries in relation to payroll matters. You will operate with a professional and customer focused manner to ensure timely resolution of all enquiries.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* work closely with the Payroll Services Team Lead and provide informal guidance to the Payroll Officers
* perform a broad range of complex payroll reconciliations including but not limited to long service leave, redundancies, severance payments, sick leave, workers compensation, over and underpayments.
* interpret awards and Enterprise Agreements to provide advice to University stakeholders
* resolve requests via ServiceNow relating to complex payroll queries
* be a strong advocate of ServiceNow and associated performance dashboards according to SLAs, metrics and key benchmarks
* perform other duties as required and commensurate with the classification level of the role.
About you
* experience within the higher education sector and understanding of the university's leave processes
* experience interpreting the relevant awards and enterprise agreement
* experience across Payroll and/or HR functions
* ability to effectively and professionally liaise with a diverse range of university stakeholders
* strong communication abilities
