Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based at Ipswich.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique and varied environment.
Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role:
* To provide a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance
* To repair and maintain a wide range of building components on site
* Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation
* Fault finding and diagnosis
* Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant

Person SpecificationQualifications
* Recognised and registered CITB minimum three year apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery
* C&G Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery
* Carpentry/Joinery Benchwork NVQ 3
* Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles
* City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery
* BTEC, ONC in Building or equivalent
* Safety in the Use of Woodworking Machinery
Experience
* Two years relevant experience having demonstrated high technical versatility and flexibility
Skills
* Self-motivated, proactive and innovative.
