**About this role**
As a Civil Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a talented group of civil engineers and designers. Your expertise and leadership will drive successful project execution, foster collaboration, and contribute to the growth and success of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of various civil engineering projects while ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage a team of civil engineers and designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site development, infrastructure, transportation, and more.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues or risks to ensure successful project completion.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards, codes, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, team performance, and resource allocation.
**About you**
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- RPEQ/CPEng is desirable.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in civil engineering with varied project experience including Land Development, Commercial, Industrial and Education.
- Previous management experience or a desire to move into leadership.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
