Key Responsibilities
* Recommend, implement and monitor network access control mechanisms
* Prevent and respond to network intrusion attempts
* Review firewall and perimeter security configurations and changes
* Manage IDS/IPS, VPN, and threat detection technologies
* Implement web filtering, application filtering and micro-segmentation
* Maintain perimeter security policies, standards and documentation
* Oversee malware and antivirus controls, signatures and updates
* Integrate network logs into SIEM for monitoring and alerting
* Maintain cloud network security architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP)
Required Skills
* Strong understanding of network and perimeter security technologies
* Hands‑on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SIEM
* Knowledge of cloud network security controls
* Familiarity with malware defence, threat intelligence, NAC
* Ability to review firewall rules, segmentation and access models
* Experience in vulnerability assessment and remediation
