We are a vibrant Vietnamese café specializing in authentic Phở and traditional dishes. We're on the lookout for a passionate Cook/Chef to help deliver high-quality, flavorful meals in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Examine food items to ensure top quality
* Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other equipment
* Prepare, cook, and season Vietnamese dishes to perfection
* Portion and plate dishes with garnishes, gravies, and sauces
* Store food properly in temperature-controlled environments
* Prepare dishes for special dietary requirements
* Plan menus and estimate food needs (as required)
* Train and supervise kitchen staff or apprentices
Requirements & Skills:
* Experience in a busy kitchen, preferably in Vietnamese or Asian cuisine
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
* Food safety certifications
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to take direction and work efficiently under pressure
* Service-focused mindset with solid organizational skills
* Prior hospitality experience is a plus
* Willingness to learn and grow within a team
* Interest in training, development, and kitchen operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,500.00 – $80,000.00 per year
