Inventory Assistant
Location: Melbourne Airport Distribution Centre
Term: An initial fixed term of 12 months, with potential to convert to permanent.
Responsibilities
* Conduct physical stock counts and cycle counts on the warehouse floor
* Operate high reach forklift to access and verify stock in racking
* Investigate and help resolve stock discrepancies
* Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to check reports and input data
* Support stocktakes and audits as required
* Collaborate with warehouse team to maintain inventory accuracy
* Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Education & Experience
* High school degree or equivalent preferred
* Warehouse operations experience preferred
Skills & Requirements
* Proficient in using inventory software and basic computer systems
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
* Ability to safely operate high reach forklifts (licence required)
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Problem‑solving mindset for investigating stock issues
* Physically fit and comfortable working in a warehouse environment
* Organised and able to follow procedures and schedules
