Junior PE Teacher Job Description
The Junior PE Teacher plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program for junior students. This position involves creating an inclusive environment where all students can explore their physical abilities, learn sportsmanship, and develop a love for active, healthy lifestyles.
This dynamic teacher will have a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and be able to deliver engaging PE lessons for Prep to Year 6 students. The successful applicant will create a supportive and learner-centred learning environment that is safe, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement quality curriculum programs.
* Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons for Prep to Year 6 students.
* Encourage skill development, teamwork, and healthy habits through sports and physical activities.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
* Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or eligibility for registration.
* Experience or enthusiasm for teaching PE to primary-aged students.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to engage young learners.
