 
        
        An exciting opportunity to work for the WA government as a Finance and Business Officer. 
**Your new company** 
We have partnered with a large health government department client to assist in their search for a HSU level 8 Finance and Business Officer. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Operations, the role focusses on management of the budget and oversees all day-to-day functions. 
The role is based in Nedlands and is a 6-month temporary contract starting as soon as possible. 
**Your new role** 
Your responsibilities as a Finance and Business officer will include: 
- Business planning and management 
- Regular liaison with senior management regarding budget and capital works 
- Financial management, including preparation of the annual budget 
- Manages, maintains and develops relevant management information systems 
**What you'll need to succeed** 
Previous experience in budget preparation, reporting and complex analysis is essential, as is: 
- Good communication skills as they will have frequent interactions with ED’s 
- Experience in Activity Based Funding 
- Intermediate Excel Skills 
- Experience with Forecasting, Reporting etc. 
- A CPA or equivalent qualification is desired but not essential
