The role
Our technology team is growing We have a new and exciting opportunity for an CMDB Administrator to join our team in Melbourne.
In this position, you will act as the CMDB custodian by administering, managing, and implementing all aspects of the CMDB health maintenance process, ensuring the availability, reliability, and usability of CMDB and its data.
Overall responsibilities
* Define and develop CMDB standards, methodology, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure appropriate Configuration Items (CIs) information is recorded and accurately maintained in line with industrial best practice.
* Own the technical activities required to capture, populate, update CIs data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationships.
* Provide IT & non-IT stakeholders at various levels with correct level of business intelligence and reporting.
* Engage, collaborate, and maintain strong relationships with the wider leadership team and senior management to identify and understand new requirements, processes, procedures, issues, roadblocks, and opportunities for improvement.
About you
You'll bring the following:
* Previous CMDB or IT Asset Management experience in a large scale organisation utilising Service Now.
* Strong data management, data analysis, and data visualisation skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Sound knowledge of IT Configuration Management and Asset Management processes.
* Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, processes that consume CMDB data and how it relates to the business.
* Demonstrated experience, as well as deep understanding of ServiceNow ITOM, ITAM specifically CMDB, Service Mapping, Discovery, and their configurations.
* Outstanding customer service and stakeholder management skills.
