The Key Accountabilities of the Role

* Technical Strategy: Develop and implement ReadyTech's technical strategy aligned with the overall business strategy and goals; identify technology trends, evaluate new technologies and develop a road map to achieve business objectives through technology.
* Technical Operations: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of ReadyTech's technology infrastructure, systems, budgets and applications; keep the infrastructure secure, reliable, scalable and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
* Technical Talent Management: Hire, develop and retain a high‑performance technical team; provide professional development opportunities and foster an environment of innovation and collaboration.
* Technical Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; communicate technical information to non‑technical stakeholders, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors.


The Key Responsibilities of the Role

* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technology solutions with ReadyTech's overall goals, working closely with business leaders, product teams and other stakeholders.
* Develop and execute the technology strategy that aligns with business goals, including identifying new technology trends, evaluating existing systems and infrastructure and recommending improvements or upgrades.
* Drive technical innovation within ReadyTech, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning while exploring new opportunities to enhance our technical capabilities.
* Foster professional growth of the technical team through mentorship and guidance, encouraging innovation and excellence and supporting the team in adopting emerging technologies.


The Key Requirements for the Role

* Leadership: Inspire and motivate a technical team to achieve goals and align with organisational objectives.
* Strategic Thinking: Develop technology strategies that align with business goals and anticipate technology trends that could impact the organisation.
* Technical Expertise: Strong technical background and familiarity with a broad range of technologies; evaluate solutions and make informed adoption decisions.
* Communication: Effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders; explain technical concepts in simple terms.
* Problem‑Solving: Identify and resolve issues quickly, analyse complex problems, develop creative solutions and make data‑driven decisions.
* Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
* Experience: 10+ years in a technology leadership role; experience managing teams of 20+ technical professionals; proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that align with business goals; experience with software development methodologies, infrastructure management and information security.
