Mischs Mechanical is a proud family-owned and operated automotive workshop known for our honesty, quality workmanship, and strong customer relationships. We're growing and are now looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our team and keep the workshop running smoothly.
About the Role
As our Workshop Manager, you'll be the go-to person for coordinating daily workshop operations. You'll manage workflow, support our technicians, communicate with customers, and help ensure every vehicle leaves our workshop at the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and team workflow
* Provide technical guidance and support to technicians
* Schedule jobs, allocate work, and manage timelines
* Liaise with customers in a friendly, professional manner
* Diagnose and quote repairs accurately
* Maintain workshop efficiency, safety standards, and cleanliness
* Assist with training, onboarding, and performance support
* Work collaboratively with the business owners to drive growth and customer satisfaction
About You
* Qualified Automotive Technician (Cert III Light Vehicle or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a workshop manager, foreman, or senior technician role
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Ability to lead and motivate a small team
* Strong organisational skills with a focus on efficiency and quality
