The Opportunity
The Centre for International Development, Social Enterprise and Leadership (CIDSEL) at the University of the Sunshine Coast plays a key role in advancing UniSC's global engagement through the delivery of international development and capacity‑building programmes across the Indo‑Pacific. Working with government, industry and community partners, CIDSEL designs and delivers initiatives that strengthen leadership, employability and social outcomes, aligned with UniSC's purpose of transforming lives through learning.
As the Program Officer – Short Courses, you will support the coordination and delivery of DFAT‑funded international short course programmes, including the AAPNG Youth Short Courses project. Reporting to the General Manager, CIDSEL, you will contribute to programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, project administration and reporting, supporting delivery of high‑quality programmes across both Australia‑based and in‑country activities.

You will
* coordinate the delivery of international short course activities, including logistics, site visits, events and industry engagement, in line with project work plans;
* support stakeholder engagement and networking activities with government, industry, NGOs and international partners; and
* manage project administration, including budgets, financial reporting, online learning platforms and documentation, in line with UniSC and donor requirements.
About you
You are a highly organised and proactive professional who thrives in dynamic, project‑based environments. You bring strong administrative capability, attention to detail and well‑developed interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in international development and capacity building. You communicate effectively across cultures, manage competing priorities with confidence, and contribute positively to collaborative teams.
You will possess:
* A relevant degree with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a tertiary education or project‑based administrative role;
* Experience supporting training programmes or international development projects, including logistics coordination and stakeholder liaison;
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with experience preparing financial documentation and project reports;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using digital learning platforms such as Blackboard, edX, Canvas or similar;
* Well‑developed interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills; and
* Experience working in multicultural environments, with an understanding of inclusive and culturally responsive practices.
