About the role
Medici Marble & Granite is seeking an experienced Stonemason to join our team in Wangara, WA. As a Stonemason, you will be responsible for crafting and installing high-quality stone products, including custom designs, for our residential and commercial clients. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and excellent benefits.
What you'll be doing
1. Cutting, shaping, and finishing natural stone materials such as marble, granite, and limestone
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to create custom stone products
3. Preparing stone surfaces for installation, including measuring, marking, and cutting as needed
4. Installing stone countertops, backsplashes, vanities, and other stone fixtures
5. Repairing and maintaining existing stone installations
6. Collaborating with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project completion
7. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
What we're looking for
1. 3+ years of experience as a Stonemason or similar role in the building trades
2. Proficiency in operating stone cutting, shaping, and polishing equipment
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
7. Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
