Job Description RJ&HR Pty Ltd The position of Retail Buyer is a genuine, full-time role created to support the operational and strategic growth of the company. The position has been established due to the increasing scale of procurement activities and the anticipated expansion following the acquisition of an additional solar business. Currently, the Company Director is directly responsible for managing all supplier relationships, product sourcing, pricing negotiations, stock forecasting, and procurement compliance. As business operations expand across multiple states and product lines, this structure is no longer sustainable. The Director must increasingly focus on high-level strategic management, business development, integration of the acquiring company, and overall operational oversight.
Responsibilities
* Support the procurement function under the supervision of the Company Director to ensure continuity and structured succession.
* Assist in supplier identification and evaluation, price negotiation, and cost comparison analysis.
* Contribute to stock planning and demand forecasting; support inventory coordination across multiple business units.
* Verify product compliance and review documentation; maintain procurement records and reporting.
* Participate in regular performance reviews, task delegation, and ongoing mentoring to develop required commercial and technical competencies.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma in Business or relevant qualification (required).
* Previous 12 months of experience (required).
* Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data analysis), inventory management systems, and understanding of market trends.
* Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
