We're seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join a high-performing financial control function, where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and supporting strategic decision‐making.
The Opportunity
As a Group Financial Accountant, you'll be responsible for executing month‐end close procedures, preparing consolidated financial statements, and supporting compliance and reporting obligations. You'll work closely with senior finance leaders and contribute to maintaining a robust internal control environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute month‐end close and consolidation processes with precision and timeliness.
* Assist in preparing half‐year and full‐year consolidated financial statements.
* Research and document complex technical accounting issues.
* Prepare board and audit committee materials summarising financial performance.
* Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess business impact.
* Maintain and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Advise internal stakeholders on accounting implications of business transactions.
* Drive process improvements in financial planning and reporting.
* Support finance transformation projects, including requirements gathering and testing.
* Liaise with external and internal auditors during audit cycles.
* Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Key Requirements
* CA/CPA qualified with 1+ years post‐qualification experience.
* Big4 1st Movers or Mid‐Tier 1st Movers highly encouraged!
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and technical accounting.
* Solid knowledge of accounting standards and governance requirements.
* Experience with financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly regarded).
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
