We are small business that is starting to take off. In our 5th year of practice, we have been delivering small scale residential and commercial projects. We pride ourselves in giving a great service to our customers, genuinely caring for the successful completion of their projects in a timely manner.

We strive to deliver quality design and documentation that fulfills its purpose and is compliant with the Australian construction regulations.

Now that we are transitioning from a 1-person business to working as principal + 'right hand man or woman', we are able to offer an exceptional individual the opportunity to join our small team and learn first-hand all the process from concept design to certification and through to construction documentation.

Contract type and term

We are initially offering a casual position due to the volume of incoming projects. Our projection is for 6 months to 1 year to the right candidate to transition to a fixed part time or full‑time contract as best suit each other.

There will be a non-paid trial period where we will give you a test project to document, you will attend to a site measure and deliver documentation drawings for certification. Throughout this time, we will evaluate different aspects to determine if you are eligible.


We are looking for:

Someone who can work presential at least 50% of the time. MUST live in Brisbane.

Someone that's rigorous, has project management skills and foresees themselves as a project manager in the future.

The role requires enthusiasm, flexibility and creativity coupled with personal management, good communication, and organisational skills.

The ability to learn, growing towards managing the day to day process of running projects, from initial concept design through to documentation and construction.

You have completed your Bachelor's degree or diploma.


Your Role

Working closely with the director, you will take responsibility for a range of project tasks, making full use of your skill and experience in

Initially:

* Site measurements
* ArchiCAD modelling and documentation
* Sometimes we might need support in our marketing, socials and website updates if this interests you.

We expect you to learn and eventually take responsibility for:

* Applying codes, standards and guidelines
* Authority approvals
* Drafters' coordination and mark ups
* Management of meetings, minutes and mark‑ups


About You

We are hoping you will bring:

* Bachelor of Architecture or Drafting certification and 1+ years Australian post‑graduate experience
* Strong ArchiCAD modelling and construction documentation skills (if possible at least 1+ years experience)
* Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability
* Eye for detail; a meticulous and methodical approach
* Ability to work in a small practice
* Work on your own computer initially.

Experience in project specifications, schedules, Artlantis, Grasshopper or Rhino is highly regarded but not essential.
