The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader - Catering and Cleaning Services to support quality non-clinical services across aged care and acute hospital settings.
This is your opportunity to lead essential services that support the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of patients, residents, staff, and visitors in two vibrant regional health sites.
**About the Role**
As the **Catering and Cleaning Team Leader**, you will oversee the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality food and environmental services at both **Mount Pleasant and Gumeracha**.
You’ll supervise a team of catering, cleaning, and laundry staff and contribute to the day-to-day operations including rostering, compliance, quality assurance, and workforce development.
You will:
- Lead, coordinate, and support staff in food services, cleaning, and laundry across both sites.
- Ensure services meet legislative, safety, infection control, and food handling standards.
- Manage rosters, stock control, ordering, and basic financial reporting.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and staff development.
- Promote a positive team environment and uphold BHFLHN values of **trust, respect, integrity, collaboration, and kindness**.
**About You**
You are a supportive and organised leader with a passion for delivering excellence in support services.
**Essential skills and experience include**:
- Proven leadership experience in catering, cleaning, or related operational services.
- Ability to supervise, coordinate and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, infection control, WHS, and relevant standards.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under limited supervision.
- Experience working in aged care, hospital, or other health-related environments.
- Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office.
**Desirable**:
- Relevant post-secondary qualification (e.g. food safety, management, health support services).
- Previous experience in SA Health or public sector health services.
