Practice InformationThis practice is a mixed billing primary healthcare practice dedicated to providing high quality patient‐focused medical care that is accessible and affordable. Pathology and pharmacy services are co‐located on site. The practice has a large patient base and supports medical training for registrars, interns, medical and nursing students. Position DescriptionAn experienced General Practitioner is needed to step into a clinical leadership role as the practice's Lead GP. In addition to maintaining a personal patient load, responsibilities include: Provide clinical guidance and leadership to doctors. Conduct teaching, mentor and supervise registrars, interns and medical students. Drive accreditation and quality improvement processes. Recruit and orientate new clinical staff. Build strong relationships with external providers. Provide strong clinical governance to ensure high standards of medical care. Provide mentoring education and support to the medical workforce. Provide much‐needed appointments to the community by stepping in to a busy, fully booked GP clinic. Qualifications & ExperienceRequirements for the role include: Fellowship with RACGP, ACRRM or equivalent. Current AHPRA Registration. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in general practice. Experience leading a clinical team is highly desirable. Accreditation as a GP Registrar Supervisor (ACRRM and RACGP). Ability to work in Australia. Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate.
