Salary: $113,347 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation
The opportunity: SAEFVIC is seeking a motivated and skilled Part Time Research Coordinator to join our dynamic Research team. Reporting to the Research Manager and Principal Investigator(s) of SAEFVIC, this role will primarily support the implementation of the Southern Hemisphere Nasal Influenza Flu Vaccine Effectiveness Study, alongside other research activities as required.
This is a maternity leave cover position, working 0.5 FTE (19 hours per week / 2.5 days per week) for an initial period of six months, with the potential for extension.
The successful candidate will contribute to a broad range of clinical research activities, including participant recruitment and consent, data and sample collection, questionnaire administration, and data management using REDCap and the RCH Electronic Medical Record (Epic).
What you'll do
* Participant and parent/guardian consent, recruitment and interviews (phone and face-to-face)
* Ethics submissions and amendments
* Sample collection (including nasal swabs +/-blood collection) and liaison with laboratory services
* Data entry and management using REDCap and RCH Epic EMR
* Completion of case report forms and review of medical records
* Liaison with investigators, SAEFVIC leadership and collaborators
* Contribution to reports, publications and team meetings
What you'll bring
* Bachelor (or Higher) Degree in Nursing, Science or a Health/Medical discipline
* Experience in clinical or immunisation research (paediatric experience desirable)
* Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification
* Experience with participant consent and ethics submissions
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
