Full Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (Psychiatric Registered Nurse) for a permanent full-time senior leadership opportunity within a fully accredited private mental health service. This facility provides comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care, including a specialised therapeutic treatment suite, and is focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
In this role, you will provide senior clinical and operational leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and responsive mental health service delivery. You will work closely with psychiatrists, leadership teams, and clinical staff to drive best practice standards, accreditation compliance, and service performance.
The Benefits
Competitive salary package: $140,000 – $160,000
Permanent full-time role – Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:00am to 4:30/5:00pm

About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Mental Health Registered Nurse
Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (Diploma or Masters)
Extensive mental health clinical experience with demonstrated leadership capability
Minimum 2–3 years experience in senior leadership roles such as NUM, ANUM, or Director level
Experience working within a private mental health hospital environment
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
Strong understanding of accreditation and clinical governance standards
Please note: This role is open to local candidates. Limited relocation assistance may be considered for exceptional candidates with extensive private psychiatric leadership experience.
