The Role
Maternal and Child Health Coordinator – An exciting new leadership role. As the coordinator you will provide strategic leadership and operational management of the Maternal and Child Health Service, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based, person‑centred care for families and leading a dedicated professional team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the Maternal and Child Health Service.
* Lead a dedicated professional team, drive service improvements through strategic planning and quality initiatives.
* Manage budgets and reporting requirements.
* Enhance community health outcomes for children and families.
* Identify service gaps and shape programs to meet evolving needs.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
About You
We are looking for an experienced leader with formal qualifications in Maternal and Child Health Nursing (or equivalent) and current registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised qualifications in Maternal and Child Health nursing (or pre‑1998 equivalent).
* Registration with AHPRA – Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered General Nurse and Registered Midwife.
* Managing people practices, including performance management and staff development.
* Strategic planning and quality improvement within MCH programs.
* Budget management and financial reporting.
* Building collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
A satisfactory Police Record Check, Working with Children Check, and a current Victorian driver's licence are required for this position.
