About The Role
The Allied Health Assistant provides clinical and program support to the staff of the Allied Health Department, as required. This will be achieved through a close working relationship with the senior staff and clinical service providers attached to the department.
This involves providing a defined range of treatments as prescribed by the Allied Health Professional and working under their general supervision, including the use of decision support tools, clinical pathways and guidelines. Contributing to patient records according to organisational and legal requirements as per the Allied Health Delegation Framework.
Assisting in preparation of assessment, treatment and clinical processes for patients including intake of referrals, management of referrals and medical charts.
Responsibilities

Requirements & Qualifications
- Possession of Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) certificates/qualifications or progression towards completion would be highly desirable.
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
Salary & Benefits
- Base salary ranges between $68,471 and $77,832 p.a. (CA3).
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
- Annual Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
- In downtime, 4 weeks p.a. recreational leave with a 17.5% loading/bonus.
