About this role
You will provide chair-side assistance to a Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist, assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records, promote oral health to patients, ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the surgery environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide chair-side assistance to a Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist
* Assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records
* Assist in the promotion of oral health to patients
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, including accordance with Defence Policies & Procedures
* Contribute to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and maintain optimal hygiene of the surgery
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification
* Demonstrated compliance with relevant standards and procedures
* Minimum of 2 years' (full time equivalent) chair-side experience within the last 5 years
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
